REMOVAL OF SWEAT GLANDS

The removal of the sweat glands will ensure that you no longer sweat as much, even in stressful situations and high summer temperatures. As a result, fewer sweat stains will form on your shirt, sweater or t-shirt. Everyday life can become easier again thanks to the gentle methods, as you no longer have to worry about excessive sweating. At the MEDICAL INN center, we perform sweat gland removal with a gentle laser technology, Botox® injection, or traditional suction.

In this procedure, the sweat glands are not removed as traditionally understood. Instead, they are melted by heat. The benefit of using this method is that it is very gentle on the surrounding tissue. You will receive a local anesthetic. Through a small incision, your treating plastic and aesthetic surgeon inserts the laser, which heats up in a pulse-like manner. With this minimally invasive procedure, you will be able to return to your daily routine quickly. You should take it easy on the day of the operation. After approximately 7 days, you will no longer need the bandages. However, you can resume lighter activities in the meantime.

A Botox® injection suppresses sweat production because the active ingredient "paralyzes" the glands. However, the effect is not permanent. Usually, it lasts up to 6 months and then needs to be repeated. We recommend laser treatment or traditional removal for permanent sweat reduction.

In this surgical method, the sweat glands are suctioned out - similar to liposuction. In contrast to the other two treatments, wound healing takes a little longer. You should therefore take it easy on yourself for about 2 weeks.

On the day of treatment, you should take it easy in order to promote wound healing. You should avoid heavy physical exercise, weight training, sauna visits or sunbathing for 4 weeks. It is possible to shave or epilate the armpits again after 14 days. The effects are noticeable with all 3 treatment options after a start-up period of up to 2-4 weeks. You will no longer sweat as much even if you exercise and experience summer temperatures. Some sweat production will remain so your body can continue to maintain temperature regulation.
