WHAT CELLULITE TREATMENT CAN DO FOR YOU

Even very slim women often have to struggle with dents on the thighs, hips or buttocks. About 90% of all women suffer from cellulite. It is a connective tissue weakness caused by genetics, age, stress, diet and lifestyle. Affected women do not want anyone to see these dimples even in hot temperature and refrain from wearing short summer clothes. Cellulite treatment eliminates this problem. Shock waves and radiofrequency therapy (BTL Exils), which our experienced team of plastic and aesthetic surgery specialists uses for this purpose, tightens the tissue and reduces the orange peel skin. It also stimulates blood circulation. As a result, many of our patients have been able to increase their self-confidence and finally put on the clothes they want again. At the same time, shock wave therapy has a preventive character in the initial stage of cellulite and can slow down its progression.

CELLULITE TREATMENT PROCEDURE

First, you will discuss with one of our experienced specialists your current problem and what you would like instead. Your doctor can then decide whether shockwave therapy can achieve the desired results. If this is the case, you will receive a comprehensive description of the treatment. At the same time, he will take enough time to answer all your questions. For the long-term firm skin on the affected areas, 6-10 individual treatment days are necessary, each scheduled at an interval of one week.

For the appointments you can visit us in our clinic, the MEDICAL INN center. Our team will then apply the shock waves and radiofrequency therapy exactly in the areas that you have previously determined. In principle, it is suitable for all areas where orange peel skin is particularly common. The therapy is painless and very gentle. It lasts about 10-30 minutes, after which you can go home or go about your daily activities. Occasionally, a faint redness may indicate that you have just been treated.

The shock waves stimulate the deeper tissue such as the connective tissue or the subcutaneous fatty tissue. This stimulation creates an effect similar to lymphatic drainage, removing waste from the connective tissue. In combination with radiofrequency you will notice a tightening and smoothing of your skin. You will support the effect by drinking enough water, eating a balanced diet and exercising regularly.

FAQ

Who is affected by cellulite?

Women are predominantly affected by orange peel skin. This is because they generally have weaker connective tissue than men. It often occurs regardless of weight. Even very slim women often suffer from the unwelcome dimples. Genetics, diet and lifestyle are cited as favoring factors. Smoking can also promote orange peel skin.

Where does cellulite occur most often?

Most women notice the unsightly dimples especially on the thighs, hips and buttocks. For some, the dimples also appear on the abdomen or upper arms. The treatment can be performed on all areas without any problems.

Does shock wave therapy hurt?

No. The treatment is completely painless and yet effective against the dimples.

What complications can occur after cellulite treatment?

Shock wave therapy used by our experienced doctors is very gentle and non-invasive. The complications, if any, appear in the form of small hematomas, redness or swelling. Within a few days these phenomena disappear by themselves and the taut skin gradually becomes visible.

Is the result permanent?

Yes, shock wave therapy provides a long-lasting effect. You can keep the result longer if you pay attention to a healthy lifestyle without alcohol, cigarettes and unhealthy diet, and instead drink plenty of water and exercise regularly. With age, the tissues may naturally become slacker. In this case, there is nothing to stop you from repeating the cellulite treatment. Also, a strong weight gain can influence the treatment result and favor cellulite again.

Can I have shock wave therapy after pregnancy?

Yes. Many of our patients opt for the procedure after the birth of their children. This is because the orange peel skin is often more visible after pregnancies than before.

Does not a cream help against orange peel skin?

A cream can provide the top layer of skin with important nutrients and moisture. But unfortunately, there is still no cream that can reach the deeper layers of tissue and thus cause tightening. According to current research, this is only possible with technologies such as shock wave therapy.

Will the cellulite get less if I lose weight?

Being overweight can worsen the appearance of orange peel skin. However, many slim women also suffer from it, as the original problem lies with the connective tissue. Losing weight can only influence orange peel skin to a small extent. Shockwave therapy targets deeper and thus leads to a significantly firmer result.
