PLUS-MINUS TECHNIQUE ON THE CHEST

On the day of treatment, we will once again explain each step to you in detail. In the surgery, part of the mammary gland is removed first. Exactly how much is removed depends on how pronounced the sagging breast is. This step is accompanied by breast reduction. Therefore, the second part follows: breast augmentation with implants. You determine the size and shape of the implants with your doctor beforehand, so that your breasts have the shape you want after wound healing is complete.

After surgery, you will receive a special chest belt. This supports the tissue of your chest area and can reduce swelling and bruising. You should wear this, after consultation with your attending physician, for about 2 weeks day and night. The scars are in places where they will be barely visible after they heal. In order for them to heal well, we will provide you with postoperative care instructions. You should take it easy for the first few days and not do any sports for about 2-4 weeks. You will see the final result when all swelling, hematoma and redness have gone down. For most patients this is the case after about 2-3 weeks. 

Most women can breastfeed using the plus-minus technique. However, it cannot be predicted whether the production of milk is still possible in a sufficient quantity. We recommend, also to preserve the result, to perform the operation after the fulfilled desire to have children.
