Eyelid lift is performed in our clinic, MEDICAL INN center, on an outpatient basis. From the time of your visit until the time you can go home, 1-3 hours pass. The procedure itself takes only 20-45 minutes per eyelid. Once again, you will receive all the information about the eyelid lift. Afterwards, you will be given a local anesthetic or twilight sleep so that you do not feel any pain during the procedure.

The minimal incisions necessary for the tightening are located in inconspicuous areas. In this way, our experienced team ensures that no or minimal scars are left behind later. It resembles a very thin and fine line.

After the procedure, you will receive prescriptions for painkillers and an antibiotic ointment. If you need eye drops, you will receive a prescription for these as well. After about 7 days, we will schedule a follow-up appointment to remove the stitches and check the wound healing. Of course, you can always visit us or call us if any problems arise in the meantime or if you have a question.

The eyelid lift may cause hematomas. These will disappear in 1-2 weeks. Make sure to take it easy on yourself during the first 2-3 weeks and keep your head elevated as much as possible - even when sleeping. This can reduce swelling. Many patients also find cold compresses very beneficial.

You may experience some blurred or double vision or itchy eyes a few weeks after surgery. The prescribed eye drops can alleviate these symptoms. You will usually be able to socialize again after 7 days.

You will notice the difference immediately after the operation. However, the final result is only visible when swelling and hematomas have completely disappeared. This is usually achieved after 7-14 days. Redness on the scar can last up to 6 weeks.

The results of eyelid correction are permanent. Accidents, age or strong weight gain can change this result again.
