A breast lift is a plastic treatment that we usually perform on an outpatient basis. This means that you do not have to spend the night in our clinic. The procedure usually takes only 1.5-2 hours and is performed under general anesthesia. The methods that our experienced plastic aesthetic surgeons rely on are the Lollipop and Wise Pattern methods. These two techniques achieve the most beautiful and natural results. After the procedure, you will spend about 1-2 hours in the recovery room of our clinic. Before you go home, our nurses and doctors will explain how to best care for the wound. In addition, we will give you pain medication so that you can relieve it on your own.

TYPES OF BREAST LIFTS

There are several techniques that aesthetic surgeons can use to lift your breasts. Which method is suitable depends on the shape of your breasts as well as the size of the areolas. Another important aspect is how much your breasts have sagged. A brief overview of all methods:

Benelli Breast Lift:

This type of breast lift uses only incisions in the shape of a "donut" around the areola and is therefore suitable for breasts that require minimal correction. The scar here runs along the border around the areola with the normal skin and is virtually invisible as it progresses.

Lollipop Breast Lift:

The incisions go in a circle around the areolas and draw in a line to the underbust crease. The shape of a lollipop or "lollipop" is created.

Wise-Pattern Breast Lift:

Also called inverted T or anchor breast lift. This method is especially suitable for women who want to have a strong correction of their breast. It proceeds like the lollipop method and adds an additional incision in the underbust fold.

Half Moon Breast Lift:

This type is rarely used. It is suitable for minimal corrections. The incisions resemble a crescent and are placed in the upper part of the areola.

Breast lift with an implant:

For women who want volume and a lift, augmentation mastopexy (enlargement mastopexy) may be the right solution. This is a breast augmentation with an implant combined with one of the above-mentioned lifting operations.

SCARS DURING A BREAST LIFT

As after any other surgery, scars remain after a breast lift. The experienced surgeons at Medical INN do their best to make the scarring as invisible as possible. We cannot completely rule out visible scars in plastic surgery, as otherwise the results would be less good. The good news is that the thin scar around the nipple is usually barely visible and will also fade over time. If it still turns out too noticeable, we have options to make existing scarring less visible - without surgery.

Can I have a breast lift without implants?

Yes. If you have enough tissue or are happy with the current size of your breasts, a breast lift can work to your advantage and restore a youthful, full appearance to your breasts.

Do non-surgical breast lift methods work?

Many patients ask us if creams and ointments can really lift the breasts. The short answer is "no." Unfortunately, there is no way to lift your breasts without plastic surgery.

How long does a breast lift last?

A breast lift should last for the rest of your life - or at least a very long time. To achieve this, additional supports such as meshes can be used. These prevent the breast tissue from sagging again and quickly. The more consistently you maintain your weight, the more likely it is that the result will last.

Can weight loss affect my breast lift?

Any drastic change in the body can affect your breast lift. During this procedure, the tissue is moved and placed higher in your breast. Therefore, we recommend that you do the procedure only after you have reached your target weight and ideally it has been constant for several months.

Will a breast lift reduce my bra size?

A breast lift will lift the breast and improve the shape as a result. If you want to reduce your bra size, some tissue can be removed along with this procedure. This would be a combination of breast lift and breast reduction.

Should I have a breast lift after pregnancy?

Many women experience severe sagging of the breast due to pregnancy or after breastfeeding. Here, radiation can return the breast to its original or even improved shape.
You should also ask yourself whether you would like to have more children before you decide to have this procedure.

Is it possible to get full looking breasts with a breast lift?

Many women have a good bra size, but the lowering of the breasts increases the surface of the breast. During breast lift the breasts are lifted. This also makes them look fuller again.

What procedures can I combine with a breast lift?

You can combine this procedure with various other aesthetic surgeries at Medical INN. We often perform it together with a breast augmentation, breast reduction or mommy makeover. (Almost any other plastic surgery can be performed at the same time as a breast lift).

Can I have my breasts enlarged after a breast lift?

Of course, after the lift you can have an additional breast augmentation with implants or autologous fat. We recommend that you have both treatments at the same time in one operation.

Can stretch marks be removed by a breast lift?

It depends. During the procedure, part of the skin is removed. It may be that the skin affected by the stretch marks falls under it. If the stretch marks fall in the area that is not removed, the stretch marks will remain. However, we have a solution for this as well: you can have the stripes made more invisible with laser fractional resurfacing.

Is the result of a breast lift permanent?

Yes. However, factors such as aging, pregnancies and massive weight fluctuations can influence the result of the tightening.
